Running Accomplishments:

I am currently 19 years old. I ran 4 years of track in high school as well as 2 years of cross country! As for some of my accomplishments.... 400 meter: 54 seconds 800 meter: 2:03 1600 meter: 5 teens 5k: 18:28 Half Marathon: 1:38:18

Short-Term Running Goals:

Lets see, some short term running goals....I will list what I can. This is just for 2008-2009 400 meter: 52 seconds 800 meter: 1:55 1 mile: 4:40 5K: Sub 17:30 4 mile: 23:30 Half Marathon: Sub 1:20:00 Marathon: Sub 3:11:00

Long-Term Running Goals:

In 2009 I intend on running the LA marathon and I would like to get a time of 3:10:59 or below and qualify for the Boston Marathon. If I qualified for the Boston Marathon I would train as hard as I could to break 3:00:00. It would be great to break 3:00:00 before I turned 21 years old! I am going to run track and xc as a college sophmore at Moorpark community college. I would like to get in the low/mid 1:50s in the 800 meter and then when I transfer to UCSB I would like to get on the track team and eventually break 1:50!!!

Personal:

Im a 19 year old college freshman who is almost done with my freshman year. I am an avid runner and have loved running since high school. I enjoy playing video games, hanging out with my friends and family. I love math and school itself isn't half bad. I classify myself as a competitive runner and I intend on pursuing track as long as I can as well with running half marathons/marathons!

It was a good run. I need to start running 4 + miles everyday or every other day.

Nice goals, Jeff! :) Hope the winter's treating you well. It's almost over, and hopefully you can get out for better runs during the spring time. Keep your eyes on the prize, and you'll get your BQ.

Ya I was thinking the same things about our race times. That is funny how we are a lot alike.

I regret to say that I could not run on Thursday March 6. I was studying excessively in the subject of Calculus and by the time I was finished my body was spent both physically and mentally. Im posting on this day because I feel that I should be posting everyday and if anything this is a message to myself to not let me get away with not running unless its for a good reason, which it happened to be for this time.

Preety good 4 mile run. Each mile was a sub 8 minute!!! I wouldnt exactly call those 4 miles necessarily easy but I cant put anything for "Marathon Pace Miles" since I havent started that sort of training yet but I will post under "Marathon Pace Miles" over the summer!

Sunday is the one day I will take off. As much as I love running, its not good for your body to run 7 days a week. I will keep it at running 6 days a week! :P

Got in a good 4 miles at a 7:40-8:00 per mile pace. It may not seem like I am improving much, but I really feel that I am and with how saturday went I know that in the future months I am one day going to find my inner stamina and go on to run a great half in august and be a great contributor to my future cross country team at Moorpark!

I ran 6.5-7 miles today and it was a tough run. I ran a lot of uphill and downhill as well and it took quite a bit out of me. I had originally intended to do 8 but it just didnt work out because I was way too exhausted after the 6.5-7 miles. Either way I am getting back into shape at a very steady rate and I am going to be running like my old self in no time, I just got this feeling.

I gotta say that I havent run for the past 6 days since tonight because spring break had just ended and I came back up to school from home. I go to SF State right now but I absolutely hate it and so I guess I kind of went back to depressed mode and just didnt feel encouraged to run. Thankfully I broke out of that slump and ran 4 miles and Ive been looking on the upside, just 1.5 more months and im coming back home and transferring to my local Junior College for a year and then going to transfer to the college that I have wanted to go to all along, UCSB! I will keep up with my running once again because I still have the same goal in site, to be an incredible runner and accomplish times I have not yet accomplished this year!!!
